What to Expect
Step: 1: Consultation
We begin with a consultation. Your provider will assess your skin, discuss your goals with you, and create a tailored hair removal plan.
Step: 2 Treatment
During each session, your specialist will use a device to target and damage hair follicles. Since each follicle grows at its own pace, you’ll need 6 sessions to see full results.
Step: 3 Results
Because hair grows in cycles, you can expect results in 10 to 14 days. As you continue with your treatment plan, your results will improve and last longer.

To prepare for your appointment, we recommend the following:
1 to 2 weeks before:
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning, including self-tanners.
- Discontinue retinoids (like Retin-A), exfoliants, and acid-based products (AHAs, BHAs).
- Avoid waxing, chemical peels, or laser treatments in the treatment area.
3 to 5 days before:
- Stay hydrated.
- Avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine.
- Discontinue harsh skincare products like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.
Day of:
- Arrive with a clean face free of makeup, lotions, sunscreen, or other skincare products.
- Shave the the treatment area either the night before or the day of.
- Eat a light meal beforehand. This is especially important if you’re anxious or sensitive to pain.
- If you’ve been prescribed a numbing cream, apply it as instructed, or your provider may do so in the office.
For best results following your treatment, it’s important to closely follow all post-care guidelines:
12 hours after:
- Avoid abrasive scrubs and exfoliation.
- Stay out of the sun. Your skin will be extra sensitive. Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily if you must go outside.
- Avoid hot showers, saunas, sweating, and exercise to prevent irritation or infection.
- Avoid retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and vitamin C until cleared by your provider.
- Drink water and use hydrating skincare.
1 to 4 weeks after:
- Schedule appointments monthly or every 6 weeks until all hair is gone. Most patients see complete removal in the treatment area after 9 to 12 treatments.
