During treatment, the InMode Picofy laser transmits each pulse of energy in one trillionth of a second. This ultra-short pulse breaks apart the unwanted pigment with a photoacoustic effect rather than the extended exposure to heat some treatments use.
During treatment, the ink particles rapidly absorb this concentrated pulse of energy, generating sound waves that quickly heat the pigment and destroy it.
After the bursts of energy fragment the embedded ink, your body gradually flushes out the broken-down particles, steadily fading and eventually erasing the tattoo altogether.
